Multimodal Presentation

For this assignment I had to translate my work from throughout the semester into a new mode (Form). I decided to translate all the previous work I had done into a PowerPoint Presentation. I once again focused on the Language of Social Darwinism and its connection to Ant-Semitism.

By presenting my topic from my exploratory essay in PowerPoint slide form I was able to express my topic in a visual way.

I had incorporated the research I had and pictures to make a visually appealing PowerPoint slide presentation. I tried to keep it as simple and entertaining as possible.

My PowerPoint didn’t have audio because I didn’t know how to add it. I thought that we were going to be given a chance to present our work but that wasn’t the case. Since there was no audio I feel like I missed out giving explanations to many of the ideas I had brought forth in the presentation

Course Learning Outcomes That Addressed My growth

CLO number one refers to exploring new genres of writing. I had never used essays to create slides so this assignment was new to me. This work was different from the previous genres of writing because I was able to include pictures and give simplified ideas. It felt good to look back at my exploratory essay and simply pick and choose the main points I wanted to include in my work. This CLO helped me grow because I was able to have the ability to look back on previous work and use all the information I had gathered to create one visual piece.

CLO number five refers to using digital technology to address a range of audiences. CLO number five helped because I was able to take my info and present it to an audience who may not enjoy reading research essays. By being able to include eye-catching visuals I was able to experiment with PowerPoint slides to make my presentation look interesting for the audience. I had made my presentation feel as though the viewer was walking through a museum which was very interesting to me.
